"I had the privilege of working with Allyson for two years and I think it's pretty safe to say that she completely changed the way I live my life. I was undisciplined, easily discouraged, and totally bored with exercise. Allyson's positive, encouraging personality and creativity ignited my drive to make the change that I believe saved my life. No matter what your fitness level is, how boring you find exercise, or how uncoordinated you are she will find something you are able to do and that you will find engaging. She is encouraging without being judgmental, a motivator not a bully, and an ally not a dictator. Don't be fooled though, she will go soft on but she's able to motivate and get results without making you feel small. It's easy to let yourself down and find an excuse to miss a workout but when you've got someone who believes in you and is working their hardest for your sake, it gets a lot more difficult to throw in the towel. I can't recommend Allyson enough as a trainer, motivator, and mentor."
"The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do"

"I was in a corporate situation always sitting, traveling, and having meals with clients. As you can imagine time passed and I went from a 29" waist to a 36" bordering on a 38". I was in a new relationship and vanity hit. I was encouraged to start working out so I joined the West Side YMCA in Manhattan. I started to go at least three times a week. Lost some weight doing cardio as my exercise choice. I never felt comfortable enough to go to the weight room even though you don't have to pump iron to benefit from its equipment. I began to watch the Biggest Loser and realized that there were contestants smaller than myself. That hurt since I was only 200 pounds. While at the gym I began to watch the trainers and how they trained their clients. I needed someone that would push me hard. I wanted a taskmaster with a heart. I wanted a trainer that wasn't checking themselves out in the mirror while I went through the motions. I wanted someone who would guide me, was skilled, who cared about my safety, and most of all ... pushed me. They needed to be the boss. She never knew I was 60 years old and even when I would say, "would you have your grandfather do that?", she would only laugh and pushed me on to the finish. This is what Allyson was for me. A motivator, a partner in my weight-loss goals, and a friend in the gym that could always be counted on."

"I had the greatest opportunity to have Allyson as my personal trainer a couple of years ago at The Rock Health and Fitness in Astoria, Queens. It was an awesome experience having someone so upbeat and with such a positive attitude that completely helped me change my lifestyle to a better and healthier one. After several failed attempts to follow an exercise regimen I have finally met someone who kept me motivated and eager to achieve my goals. Thanks to her I've been exercising regularly, at least 5 times a week, keeping a well-balanced diet and ready for new challenges. Too bad she moved to Virginia I would love to have her as my workout partner again. So Virginian's take advantage of this privilege!"

"Walking to and from my car at work was a major chore and I would find myself out of breath. At this point in my life I knew I needed to do something. I threw around the idea of weight loss surgery, but after talking with many who had had this surgery it did not seem like an option to me. If I was still going to have to eat better and exercise, why change what God made so perfect. With the encouragement of my Aunt Bonnie, I decided to start back to Weight Watchers and try one last time. One success led to the next success. I finally decided to throw in some exercise, which I hated, and the weight just started melting off. I had a small goal of 40 pounds by Jan 1, 2012 and I exceeded that in early December. My weight loss slowed down after the holidays and I was losing my excitement of losing weight and exercising. I signed up at OneLife Fitness to meet with a trainer, sight unseen. I told them I wanted an older trainer if they had one but instead I was signed up with this very physically fit, young lady. I was scared! I was thinking wow she is going to kill me. I will never be able to do the workout she wants me to do. Well, one workout session led to another, and suddenly I wasn’t scare anymore. Allyson is the most awesome person to work with. She believes in me and I look forward to each session I spend with her. She always pushes me to do just a little bit better than the last time. I have nicknamed Allyson the “Abuser” but this is far from the truth. She has helped me accomplish things now that I never deemed possible for myself. Along with the encouragement, she and I have fun too. I am at the point now that I like to exercise. Wow did I just say that?! Allyson doesn’t stop caring and encouraging me when I leave the gym. She also has given me her cell phone number to call or text anytime with questions or concerns and I am also friends with her on Facebook. She is always putting upbeat, encouraging words on her facebook page and also recognizes the accomplishments of her clients. 72.6 pounds later, I am confident, which I used to not be, that with help from Allyson and all that she has instilled in me, that I will reach my ultimate goal. "Allyson Wolf came into my life as a trainer in October 2012. I have had trainers in the past but none shared my passion for running and swimming. I was not the best swimmer and closing in on age 50, I had a goal to be able to swim a mile. I had training in the Navy: however, this was rudimentary and I didn’t have what I needed: an instructor and coach. I was always a runner since age 36. Allyson took me from essentially a novice swimmer to swimming a mile which I did on my 51st birthday. She is an inspiring teacher, coach, and mentor. When I return from the Middle East, I will resume my training with Allyson. She is more than just a trainer. Allyson Wolf is truly a coach and mentor to those who want to excel in fitness and sports. Thank you, Allyson!!!!!!!"
